About contribution

Purpose of B2B Experts Wiki knowledge platform is to simplify work with valuable information that is related to digital transformation and related topics. Contributed links will be added to appropriate collections and later a review or summary might be added to it.

  • This guarantees that the contributor can easily find a contributed article, podcast, or video on the platform when he needs it.
  • Contributed items will be described and classified to make it easier to work with.
  • It will be easy to find other assets related to the same topic.
  • Other people will get access to the materials you provide and will be grateful.

Here the user guide for contributors.

About collections

The purpose of a collection is to help a member to see all the assets related to some topic in one place. There are different types of collections on the portal (find more information below).

The number of collections is constantly growing. Since February of 2024 our community supports the roadmap that defines the cadence of new collections creation and update.

You can find more information on the Collections Update Roadmap page.

"By business model" collections

Each collection in this classification reflects to some digital commerce model which is applied by the company.

For example, if you are a manufacturer and you are selling B2B only, the B2B model collection might be useful for you. If you are a manufacturer and thinking about selling to your consumers directly, you may check D2C model collection. If you are thinking about transforming your B2B portal to a B2B marketplace, the Marketplace collection would be useful.

"By topics" collections

Here assets are grouped by well recognizable topics or digital commerce disciplines which might be in the focus of a decision maker and, probably, not be related strictly to one business model. For example, Digital customer experience management in B2B or AI might be used in very different contexts in digital commerce, so we have dedicated collections for these topics.

If some asset is talking, for example, about Digital customer experience management in B2B in B2B model context, it will be visible in both collections.

"By source" collections

This portal is an aggregator of assets that are created and/or distributed by other players. In "By source" collection we accumulated links to all asset pages grouped by asset source. So, on Articles by McKinsey page you can see all the articles published by Articles by McKinsey that our team found, checked, classified, and indexed.

Some publishers generate not that much content, so we are not ready to create a dedicated collection for each of them. Assets from these sources are in the Other sources collection.

About assets

Each asses added to the portal may have on of the following states:

Not indexed

The asset is added to the queue, so we have only the name of the asset and the name of the publisher. Located in the dedicated section with the same name on a source page (see the example here: Articles by McKinsey). These assets are not evaluated properly yet, so they may disappear from the portal later or stay in this state for a long time.

Indexed

The asset is evaluated by B2B Experts Wiki team, a dedicated page was created, and the asset was classified (assigned to the appropriate collections), so that members can find it fast through collections. All valuable assets shoud get to this state.

Example: Future of B2B sales: The big reframe

With abstract

An abstract is added to the page of asset, where member can see what information is contained in the asset and decided if it makes sense to spend time on it. Review is purposed to save time our members due to the opportunity to screen asset fast without opening and reading, say, 10 page document. Postfix "(with abstract)" is added to the name of such page. Ideally all indexed assets should ultimately get to this state.

Example: The rewired enterprise: How five companies built to outcompete (with abstract).

With summery

Extended review of the asset, that includes a recap of the asset, including main statements, recommendation, conclusions. Summery is added to the most deep and interesting assets only. It is purposed to help a member to understand the value of the asset on the first glance, while not purposed to substitute the asset by itself.

Example: Business’s ‘It’s not my problem’ IT problem (with summary)
